Amparo is an experienced teacher that has been teaching Spanish for eight years. She is very proactive, patient and friendly. Her classes are dynamic and fun, making them suitable for kids. Her teaching approach with beginners is not relying on immersion which requires too much memorisation from the student, but rather on linguistic understanding. Since Singapore students are generally fluent in English, this allows a faster approach to Spanish, these two languages being very similar in many aspects. She uses what students already know in English as a base material for learning Spanish. She also has a true passion for travel, philosophy and literature which guarantees that more advanced students will receive a good amount of cultural input during the lessons, which she tries to keep entertaining and informative. Being a DELE examiner herself, Amparo is familiar with exam dynamics and techniques. Therefore she is one of our most popular teachers to help students prepare for exams like the DELE, IGCSE or IB.
